Students will use the information learned from schools around the world to create a writing piece that compares one of these schools to Banks Road.
Math
Next week in math we will review mental math strategies for adding or subtracting 10 from a double digit number. We will also continue to solve story problems using addition and subtraction strategies learned up to this point.

Science
Next week we will continue studying weather and learn about instruments used to measure weather.
All students at Banks Road are invited to participate in the yearbook picture contest. One winner will be picked from each grade level and their artwork will be featured in this year's yearbook! To have a drawing considered students must meet all the contest requirements and their work must be submitted on or before the due date.
The due date for all submissions is Friday, September 20, 2019.
Requirements for Drawings:
- All artwork must be completed by the student
- All artwork must contain school appropriate subject matter
- Drawings must be on white 8.5x11" copy paper
- Drawings must be completed using markers
- Student name, grade, and teacher must be printed on the back of the drawing
